Hope for Patients with Herniated Discs
Are you in pain from a herniated disc in your spine? Been told by doctors that the only remedies out there are surgery and pain management? Check into an alternative remedy called the disc pump. The disc pump is a FDA registered hand-held traction tool. Patients using this treatment reported a significant improvement in their condition. Discs are soft pads with a jelly-like center (nucleus), located between each vertebrae. When too much force is applied to the disc it ruptures, putting pressure on nearby nerves. The Disc pump gently and precisely tractions one disc level at a time. This powerful 'microtraction effect' helps recenter the disc away from the spinal nerves often on the first visit without any side effects. This traction allows the disc to recenter, removing pressure from the spinal cord, often eliminating pain. This course of treatment is very gentle and conservative. A published study of those treated with the Disc Pump states "Upon completion of treatment, all cases reported at least a 90% reduction in the initial signs and symptoms, with each individual able to go through their daily routine with no restrictions or increase in symptomology." The success rate for surgery is low. Most other treatments offer only temporary relief. The disc pump actually treats the source of the problem, not just the symptoms with proven results. * National College of Chiropractic, Chiropractic Technique, Vol. 11, No. 2 May, 1999
